BARCELONA - As the gigantic Mobile World Congress (MWC) conference got under way this week, you might have been looking for some new insights into how the $1 trillion-dollar investment 5G technology would pay off. Instead, the press and analyst community seemed to be obsessed with Nokia’s new logo.

Nokia launched its first logo change in 60 years to accompany a new branding strategy moving the company away from consumers to focus on enterprise business technology. That, and Nokia chief executive Pekka Lundmark told press and analysts that Nokia’s new logo announces a new business focus of “reset, accelerate, and scale.”

I still believe that Nokia has the ability to come back strongly. but it turns out they don't want to do so.
Nobody is going to buy their products ever again. Specially people who stick with them until the last moment. I have so many useless microsoft and Nokia devices now (Surfaces and Lumias). Fk them for wasting our money. They stopped supporting their devices the moment they decided to stop their businesses. Great bricks they are now.

Ohh... Those are the greatest time. I still have Nokia 1320 which I have used for almost 5 years. I don't think it is a waste of money. even if you have an Apple you could use it for a maximum of 5 years.

But in this case, I believe if Nokia did something or invent something (Maybe a good phone) they still have a good customer base that remembers those golden days and maybe they will try it. if it is good even I will try it myself.

Well, they could come up with the best phone ever but I'm not buying their nonsense again. I really hate their business practices. Nokia is an arrogant company, that got what it deserved thanks to their own freaking egos. Since 2016 I have been using Apple devices and not going back to Android or any other OSes. Sure, Apple has their bag of bad practices but I know them in advance when making decisions. They have a solid schedule and they stick with it. I know when they will stop supporting my devices, when they discontinue manufacturing, what devices won't get the latest updates. My oldest apple device iPadMini 3 is still getting security updates to this day even when they have already announced that they won't support it. Not a fan of soldered RAM and SSDs on Macs though. Nokia's golden days are gone. They are not coming back.

Oh... so you changed the Ecosystem. in that case this is not a fair comparison I guess.

    Yeh, you are absolutely right.

This is the video of the Nokia CEO laughing at Apple. He had a freaking ego and a thought that Apple cannot beat Nokia which is what happened afterward. I'm not an Apple fan though. But as you said Apple has a vision and ability to achieve its goals and targets. There are some drawbacks also. which is one of them being late to the party. But anyway, my conclusion is if Nokia builds a perfect phone, I'm willing to try it. Not because of I used one before, but for the indigenous feeling of the brand.

Buying your first Apple device is a trap anyway :P Once you get to their eco system there is no coming back. iMessages, Air Drops, wireless screen share, apple Books sync, iCloud, Family etc. Windows and Nokia were going for that with Lumias :( It's a shame they went under screwing us users.

They still make phones but they are not in that business anymore. If you are taking a gamble with Nokia in the future keep me in your mind :)
