First of all, I don't know if this is the right forum to post this (if not, administrator, please post this in the appropriate place). Some of the current masters and phd students in USA and Canada have got together and created a website to support the students in Sri Lankan universities pursuing bachelor's degrees to enter into graduate studies (masters and phd degrees). The website is named Beyond Bachelor's (http://www.beyondbachelors.com). The reason why we launched this website is because we thought that most Sri Lankan undergraduates are not aware of the opportunities in USA and other countries. Normally, it's perceived as something that takes a lot of money and is a waste. However, the truth is, there are so many unspoken and unpopular funding sources in these countries that we don't make use of and that basically you can pursue your higher studies absolutely free while earning a good income. It's a good platform to strengthen your academic career and to serve Sri Lanka even better after completing your studies.
Anyway, the site now attracts a lot of support from current masters and phd students and we welcome you to take a look. Especially, if you are an undergraduate and doesn't have much of an idea of the graduate studies, you can join and start asking questions. The current members of the website, spread around a large number of universities through out the world, will be happy to answer your questions and help you with the application processes.
