Sri Lanka is to be considered the IT hub of Asia, the internet is a powerful tool which its main objective is to be free and open. Lately the GOSL and court orders have been flooding the Internet of Sri Lanka web site blocking. It is a responsibility as a Hub to promote a Open Internet and become a example to other countries world wide.
We must ask the President to promote a unblocked, free and open internet. Let censorship be a choice of the user (ie. Pornography, Hate speech etc.). If the President used his executive powers to say "No one can touch the internet" it will be a great example to the world and shut the NGO mouth's for good. Then no longer will the courts orders or Ministry orders block a single website.
Let people speak! Those who speak rubbish will bury themselves in their own grave. Let people decide!
