Hmm,I guess you owe me.Great to see someone build his own rig.U have only done one wrong in there.I couldn't mentioned tht too.Hitachis have low platter speeds, they tend to decrease over time and worst case scenario, when a HDD fails its circuit we replace it to get data. But in Hitachi drives you cant get data from the mechanical part by replacing the Circuit. So as I suggested earlier, use a samsung 80GB for OS+soft+Games storage use Hitachi.May god bless upon it.:D

Thats why I didnt tell you that when you PMed me.:D The 65nm CPus had 2 core revisions.B3 older and G0 newer. You can see it under revision in CPUZ first page. The G0 is better coz it has lower temps, more OCing potential, fixed some issues and Tj max is higher.(Dont mind about Tj LOL)So you have the better version.:D Thats all what matter for us.Price?

    He is not into OCing,
    and @Nuwa1.. 667 can easily do 800,no worries :D
Yeah, and that's 3.6GHz (400x9) on the CPU. That's why I said, if he is going for the quaddy, no need of expensive DDR2-800. 4GB of them will add up like Rs.4000 more, right? (for no performance benefit)

Q6600 doesn't go that high with casual overclocking gears like stock cooling and stock volts.

I agree with Anusha.Adventures with Q6600 comes real hard.Thats why Intel is not afraid lowering its price again into $190 range which is the best ever bang for the buck.

it was 25K well the performance is grate. i mean the box seems to handle almost anything!(now of course it can't handle anything :D).

i went to BKLY..s and asked for quad core 2.66 one. they said they don't have it. so i took a q6600 and then i went to leader(as you suggested), they said that they have quad 2,66 and its only 25K!!!! i was like WTF! so i went back to BKLYs and said them i don't want the q6600. the guy over there took my good 2 hours to return the money back for the processor. he told me that noone has it. but i though i was smart! lol because i thought leader has it.

now after that i went to leader and asked for the quad 2.66. and then the guy asks someone else. and she says quad core? wtf? i was telling you the price of a dual core 2.66!!! :frown: so i as i can't go back to BKLYs and ask for a Q6600 heheh because that would be embarrassing.. i took the q6600 from leader. it was 500 rupees cheaper though!

but at the end of the day i was all exhausted and confused about the way we have to do shopping for PC parts in colombo :( it would be so much easier if these people kept a up to date price list in there web sites. but they never do so. and when you go to a shop you have bargain with the guy. as he tells you a price that is higer than the original price that he intends to sell it to you. because he expect you to bargain. wtf... its a total waist of time. wish they can directly tell me the price. without having to lie about it and do all the pretending/acting shit. :) ha... when will they grow up??? guess they will never grow up. atleast not in the coming future....

Anyway, who would buy the 2.66GHz Dual Core for 25k when they are readily available for around 22k :D

I haven't, but people have bought from them. They are legit as far as I can tell.

I don't know about the Hitachi 500's failing, but I know Samsungs hardly fail. Day before yesterday I bought my 5th Samsung drive. Sold two. I currently have 3 in the PC :D (250x2 in RAID-0 and 500GB)

hey i have a little question. now i got a power sup with the casing. and i brought another one 500w. so the one that came with the casing is just lieing around. i wonder whether i can use it as well? i mean lol if i can find a way to fix it in to the casing. is it ok to provide power from two PSUs to the motherboard and the components?
