At its 2007 Line Show in Las Vegas, Sony introduced a slew of new cameras, like this Cyber-shot DSC-W80, and is pushing its facial recognition technology and ability to directly output photos in "full HD" onto any of its Bravia televisions.
A number of new cameras unveiled at the show include a new zoom feature and are capable of recording in 1080p high-definition resolution.
Part of Sony's strategy to differentiate its Vaio notebooks in an intensely price-competitive category is by offering more color choices. Also slated for later this year is the option to custom engrave the notebook's lid with one's own art.
With a fun and fashionable design, Sony's smallest flash drive comes in a variety of colors and has a stylish holster to keep it safe.
An array of new high-end, professional Carl Zeiss lenses was on display in Las Vegas. It included macro, telephoto and wide angles, many with aperture capabilities as wide as 2.8 or 1.4.
Headphones of all sorts were on display at the Vegas show, including those for high-end home and disc jockey use.
These 1GB and 2GB Micro Vault Turbo USB flash drives come preloaded with Virtual Expander to store three times as much data. The drives have a 28MB-per-second read speed and an 18MB-per-second write speed.
Sony's Bluetooth Stereo system allows users to play digital audio from a central location and listen wirelessly throughout the house.
The Sony Portable Reader, with internal memory and slots for Memory Stick storage media and SD memory, allows consumers to carry hundreds of books anywhere with them, in addition to audio and image files. The unit has a 6-inch display, is just half an inch thick, and weighs only 9 ounces.
All of the lenses that come with Sony's new lineup of high-end cameras, like this one, are high-definition.
Anything recorded on this video camera can be seen in high definition when connected to an HDTV.
The DSC-W55 comes in a variety of colors, like red and white, part of Sony's strategy to add more personal touches to a number of its consumer electronics product categories.
One of Sony's Bravia TV selling points will be the buyer's ability to choose between different colored bezels, or faceplates, to match the TV to the room in which it will reside.
