affna Commander Major General G.A.Chandrasiri made the first speech on International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights at the workshop held on 24th and 25th June 2008.
Brigadier PDG Thibbotumunawe Messers Senaka Disanayaka, Rangika Bandaranayaka and Sadagiri Bandara addressed the officers on Universal Norms, Universal Standereds, Domestic Laws, Laws related to Internal Displaced Persons and Laws Related to Arrest and Detention.
The seminar was attended by officers of all the batallions in Jaffna including those of the Navy and Air Force. At the end of the workshop the Comander of Security Forces Jaffna addressed the participants.
