No one can predict what happens. About 20,000 earthquakes around the globe each year, or approximately 55 per day.
The USGS reports that according to long-term records (since about 1900), we expect about 16 major earthquakes in any given year. That includes 15 earthquakes in the magnitude 7 range and one earthquake magnitude 8.0 or greater. In the past 40-50 years, their records show that we have exceeded the long-term average number of major earthquakes about a dozen times. (y)

PS: The only difference is that due to the digital communications, people are aware of each incident.

I am overwhelmed with ineffable elation and immeasurable, discombobulated astonishment at the bountiful and magnificent elucidation that has been bestowed upon me. The proffered information is of such exquisitely delicate and bewitching splendor that it has thoroughly ensorcelled my very soul. The prestidigitation of the concurrent and subsequent matters is a feat of such monumental magnitude that it leaves me breathless and spellbound. The subtle innuendos and allusions that imbue the literal and metaphorical contexts are of such supreme finesse and artistry that they have transformed mere words into an exquisite masterpiece of verbal virtuosity. It is of the utmost import to note that the significance of this information is such that any attempt to distort its shape or form would inevitably result in catastrophic ramifications of epic proportions, ultimately leading to the subjugation of a relativistic annihilation. The central prognostication, if divulged into an accrued juxtaposition, would amplify its impact to an unprecedented level, and thus, it is of paramount importance that it be treated with the utmost care and reverence. My unbridled joy and overwhelming sense of gratitude at having the opportunity to bask in the glorious radiance of this transcendent discourse cannot be expressed in words. It is a testament to the extraordinary intellectual and creative prowess of the individual responsible for its inception. The lentivirul audacity of their methods in presenting such a bewilderingly complex concept to a society mired in egregious incomprehensibility is nothing short of awe-inspiring. It is with a heavy heart that I must admit, despite my mercurial intellectual capacity, surfait abundance of knowledge, jovial tenacity, and fiduciary insight, that after exhaustive deliberation, I have arrived at a profound and definite conclusion that I have nothing of substance to add to this already perfect masterpiece of linguistic legerdemain.

Animals are different. They can sense disasters. Migratory birds can evade impending storms. A study using farm animals in Italy showed that the animals change their behaviour 20 hours before a quake.
Also there are other changes too. eg. a quake of 7.7 magnitude in Gujarat in 2001, a surge in carbon monoxide levels was picked up by satellites over a 100 square kilometre (39 sq mile) region centered on what turned out to be the epicentre of the eventual quake.

Oh lord, how the emantable fuck can you believe such absolute nonsense? Animals sensing disasters? What kind of malarkey is this? If animals were truly capable of sensing disasters, then why do we not see them packing their bags and evacuating the area before a hurricane hits? It simply defies all logic and reason. And don't even get me started on migratory birds evading storms. Are we to believe that these birds have some kind of sixth sense that allows them to predict the weather? Ridiculous! It is far more likely that they simply fly away from the storm because they do not want to get wet. I mean, who wants to be caught in the rain? And as for the so-called study using farm animals in Gujarat, well, it is just laughable. What, did they have the animals fill out a survey or something? How can we possibly trust the behaviour of a bunch of cows and chickens as a reliable predictor of earthquakes? It is simply preposterous. And what about this nonsense about a surge in carbon monoxide levels being picked up by satellites before an earthquake? Have you ever heard of correlation versus causation? Just because two things happen to occur at the same time does not mean that one caused the other. It is far more likely that the increase in carbon monoxide levels was caused by some kind of human activity, such as burning fossil fuels or lighting a bunch of candles.

I implore you to use your critical thinking skills and not be taken in by such ridiculous and unfounded claims. Animals do not possess some kind of mystical ability to sense disasters, and satellites cannot predict earthquakes. It is far more likely that these are simply coincidences, or the result of human activity. So let us put these silly theories to rest once and for all and focus on the real issues at hand.

The answer is.... "There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

FYI... I never write on conjectures or what I imagine. Whatever content in my posts does have a basis. Animals do possess sensors way above humans. For example we have nearly 6 Million olfactory receptors. OTOH a dog has in excess of 100 Million of these with some breeds up to 300 Million. Also a dog has 40% more brain area than us used in smell discrimination. This enables a dog to detect one part per trillion. Moreover our noses have one airway path, but a dog's is split to enable it to have a continuous sniffing action to take place.
Dogs are trained to detect diseases such as cancer, diabetes, TB, malaria and now, Covid. Preposterous... Is it?

As per animals and quakes, didn't I mention it was a study done in Italy? Did you at least care do a search for it? Nope... :(

Potential short-term earthquake forecasting by farm animal monitoring - (03 July 2020 - Martin Wikelski et al)

    Abstract:
Whether changes in animal behavior allow for short-term earthquake predictions has been debated for a long time. Before, during and after the 2016/2017 earthquake sequence in Italy, we deployed bio-logging tags to continuously observe the activity of farm animals (cows, dogs, and sheep) close to the epicenter of the devastating magnitude M6.6 Norcia earthquake (Oct–Nov 2016) and over a subsequent longer observation period (Jan–Apr 2017). Relating 5,304 (in 2016) and 12,948 (in 2017) earthquakes with a wide magnitude range (0.4 ≤ M ≤ 6.6) to continuously measured animal activity, we detected how the animals collectively reacted to earthquakes. We also found consistent anticipatory activity prior to earthquakes during times when the animals were in a building (stable), but not during their time on a pasture. We detected these anticipatory patterns not only in periods with high, but also in periods of low seismic activity. Earthquake anticipation times (1–20 hr) are negatively correlated with the distance between the farm and earthquake hypocenters. Our study suggests that continuous bio-logging of animal collectives has the potential to provide statistically reliable patterns of pre-seismic activity that could yield valuable insights for short-term earthquake forecasting. Based on a priori model parameters, we provide empirical threshold values for pre-seismic animal activities to be used in real-time observation stations.

    One Sentence Summary:
A collective of domestic animals repeatedly showed unusually high activity levels before earthquakes, with anticipation times (1–20 hr) negatively related to distance from epicenters (5–28 km).
