What is your field? In my field, there is a common practice of uploading the first draft of a paper to a preprint server (arXiv ,techarx Zenodo) after submitting it to a journal or conference. This give you a DOI and appear on platforms like Researchgate and G:Scholar. No need to worry about review time since your work is already published.

(remember , 1st , submit to journal, then to the preprint server )

oh I didn't know that kind of thing exist. Isn't it something like duplicating your work. IDK
Machan once you get your work up on scholar and if someone check your work to what source it directs? usually GS gives direct link to the journal but if it is not already published? I don't get this

උඹේ paper එක ML/NLP නම් මම special issue ටිකක් suggest කරන්නම්

preprints will appear on GS or RG and when someone clicks the link it will direct to the initially submitted draft of the paper that you uploaded to the preprint server (ex https://arxiv.org/abs/2512.14150 ) similar to a journal website.

but not many will cite the work since it is not peer reviewed. however, it helps to showcase your research progress until the original publication appears in a proper journal.

dont go for MDPI if you plaining to applying for higher education. it is kind of predatory journal publisher
