For a year RAM manufactures didn't produce RAM for whatever reason (I don't know and I don't care ). RAM prices sky rocketed because of that. Towards last year end they started producing RAMs like crazy and RAMs have flooded the market. Still people are not buying them. So supply is more than the demand. In SL we still have the old stocks and prices are still high It will come down eventually I'm waiting to buy a 8GB ram for at least 10 months now
