The router will automatically establish the connection and will give your PC an ip address once it's connected thru the LAN port. I'm planning to buy a router as well, but not a wireless one, because I've fed up with looking for Vista x64 supported drivers for my ADSL modem. I doubt there will ever be such drivers. Not even for XP x64.
