before the launch of airtel, there was a lot of rumors and some told that, In the first year after launching, out going is totally free.
Another one was "Airtel to Airtel outgoing free" story.
there was a lot of fake information circulating at that time.
Maybe there could be a person (Airtel?, I dont know!) hiding behind all of those information and conducting them as a kinda pre-launch publicity! ! !

well from what i have seen i dont think its much bad considered to all the other operators in SL.Airtel came into action with almost everything. i mean 3.5G backbone and state of the art coverage and technology i dont think that dialog nor mobitel can compete. let me remind you that upahara sim is only given for Government workers and not given free to private sector nor the teenagers who's parents are working on non government place. just simply you cant walk into a mobitel shop and ask for a upahra sim dialog well there trying to keep up in the game but they need something new to attract customers. airtel well i havent got my hands on it yet but still i m a mobitel user and i m pretty much satisfied with it cause i have being using it for over 2 years(a smart connection). dialog prepaid i dnt think its worth. airtel well there gonna increase the charges march 31st and who knows what will happen. but i think airtel need more benefits for the post paid customers.

actualy u cant say airtel came with all the facilities in handy. The 3.5G is the technology that has been introduced and currently in progress. Nevertheless Dialog has also came to SL with the latest tech, if u can remember the past.
I accept ur comment in the issue of upahara.. dialog postpaid doest wana get improved to attarct customers. coz airtel postpaid is not attracting anyone
but defa the prepaid should improve.. the only reason i dnt change ma prepaid dialog is coz of dialog's per secound billing and, the unavaliablity of the airtel custom number choosing..
