You were saying that SLT trying to make money by charging per GB right ?
Then why do they still promote Unlimited packages ?
Why dont they just stick to limited ones ?

Other thing TRC is trying to reduce the chargers . And that may have force SLT to this desperate actions.

Personally I myself have no good image on trc as well .
Anyway we have no reliable information to come to conclusion do we ?

Even in that letter I made it clear that "Unlimited Packages should stay available" because Bandwidth is not something that can be restricted that easily. It changes from person to person.... depends on what they do. Also since ISP's don't pay for GB's downloaded not a single user should.... Just because the government can't raise income levels of people does not mean that broadband prices should be lowered below expenses threshold (Which is why SLT is complaining at the moment) causing a opposite reaction that makes them want to limit some other-way to earn more money.

As I know, the Price of a 512K Unlimited ADSL Package should be no less than Rs. 3000/- per month... considering bandwidth allocation costs. so the say "cheap things always have strings attached".

Today, on the 22nd of February 2011 at 11.10AM I have noticed a full speed increase on my SLT Unlimited Home package. Its too soon to say if it is really a permanent improvement.

I have reason to believe that the TRCSL has successfully intervened into the matter. Other throttled users please confirm back here.

WiMAX is the future for this country. Its not stable until Base Station Relay's are properly deployed throughout the country.
