As I sit here alone, dreaming of hours passed by,
Precious times spent together, when we laughed and we cried,
Such special moments words can't describe,
Leaving deep sense of longing, to be by your side.
Why is it we can't be together,
I can feel you in my arms as I whisper 'forever',
The thought of us waking so far apart,
Is hurting inside, and breaking my heart.
But what keeps me going, although I still long,
Is the love that we have, so special, so strong,
And I can't help but smile, knowing the love that I do,
Feeling safe in the knowledge God's given me you.
