He did SAT and got a island rank on it. He was accepted visa easily. He went to a county college to cover some subjects (like american history and art bla bla) before going to the 3rd best engineering university in US (rank below 10 in global), which is also below 100 in university rankings. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="font-family: 'Georgia'"></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="font-family: 'Georgia'">We sent him some money for the first 3 years, while he was doing a part time job there, and he had a first class GPA by end of the 3rd year. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="font-family: 'Georgia'">But the final year cost was so high that he had to two jobs to cover up, other than the money we sent. He ended up screwing the exams. He couldn't repeat the subjects because the cost for subjects and the year registration is US$ 29,000 (over 30 lakhs in rupees). He didn't tell what was happening there coz he knew that we were already extruded to the limit spending more than U$ 100,000 for him. </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="font-family: 'Georgia'"></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="font-family: 'Georgia'">He couldn't find a job not because he was lazy or incompetent, it's just because the financial crisis came in 2008 and people lost jobs. Many jobs. He worked as a trainee engineer on a IC (chip) design firm for US Army. He developed a robot rover to quickly deploy and search for IED's before they storm in.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="font-family: 'Georgia'"></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="font-family: 'Georgia'">He simply lost it and broke the contact with us, observing complete radio silence for 4 months !!! We even didn't know whether he was alive or not. I have four cousins in US, with their families, so i persuaded them to find him. Asked the police, and some private detectives even. I hacked in to his email, and he has not read emails for four months. I digged all his facebook friends accounts, email contacts etc... to try to search him. By this time my mum had gone haywire. I was simply out of the grid (he's very good at that).</span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="font-family: 'Georgia'"></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px"><span style="font-family: 'Georgia'">After four months he had enough running, and hating himself and called us as his visa was ending.
