The Galaxy S6 recently received the Android Marshmallow update. It was actually ready as early as February but it was only last week that the other variants got their updates. As promised, another variant of the Galaxy S5 has just gotten the Marshmallow treat after South Korea and Trinidad & Tobago.Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F specific for Sri Lanka can now be updated to Android 6.0.1. It’s the same model that accidentally received the Marshmallow beta last December by mistake. It’s also the same variant that can be found in other regions but in Europe most especially.Finally, this version is ready for a more widespread release. We’re not sure why Sri Lanka is one of the few getting the mobile OS update first but we’re assuming because it’s a developing country. This Asian country is actually getting more attention because of the numerous products and services being introduced lately the Google Street View, Project Loon, and Android One.Over-the-air (OTA) notifications should be received any day now but as usual, if you are that impatient, you can always check manually on your device.
