A woman who returned to the country after working as a domestic in an Arab household in Kuwait City has told police that her employer had forcibly inserted six needles into her person.
The victim, Weeraaiya Letchumi aged 38 and a resident of Ibbagamuwa in the Gokeralle division are currently undergoing treatment at the Kurunegala Government Hospital, police said.
The woman has alleged to the Gokarella police that her employer had inserted the needles after she had demanded for her wages which had not been paid for several months.
The Gokarella police are conducting further investigations.
