Cruise, Pitt and Dicaprio are the last of the big actors. Tarantino, Fincher, PT Anderson etc. are the last of the big directors. They are last of a long line of giants and we'll probably never see artists like them again.

Cinema as we knew it has already ended. But it's certainly nothing to be hopeless about. This is probably how people felt when the Golden Age Hollywood ended and the New Hollywood started in the 60s with the likes of Coppola, Altman, Scorsese and Spielberg. We'll find something new to do. Humans always do.

Nowaday movie scripts target sets of audinence. Have a chinese character for chinese audience. Black ckaracter for black audience. Indian character for Indians. LGBTQ character for SJWs. new way of milking racism. Only a racist can root for their race's representation in an artwork. nowadays we have no artworks just only promotional videos but extended with a story.

Yes, I haven't watched any movie without skipping after 2010. Still rewatching the older ones. Last year I watched only 1 tv show and 3 or 4 new movies for the whole year. This year just finished Cobra Kai it is too a sequel to an 80s movie.
