Since viruses spread via flash drives among us rather than from Internet, this might be useful for u.It is Free and Portable.
Frm my xperience only virus attack i faced was by a virus frm a flash,so this might be useful,it costs 13 MB with definitions.Ur flash isnt needed to be a smart drive..it works alone too.But it is good u dload the portable apps suite which makes ur normal flash into a smart drive. It is in this site too..

    Features

ClamWin is a Free Antivirus for Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/2003. It provides a graphical user interface to the Clam AntiVirus engine. It features:
    • High detection rates for viruses and spyware
    • Regular virus database updates. ClamAV team regularly updates virus databases to include a new virus/variant immediately after it appears
    • Standalone Virus Scanner
Please note that ClamWin Free Antivirus does not include an on-access real-time scanner, that is, you need to manually scan a file in order to detect a virus or spyware. Also, ClamWin Portable has scheduled scans and updates disabled as they are not used in a portable scenario.
    • File size: 5.8MB (download), ~13Mb (installed with definitions)
    • Publisher: PortableApps.com (John T. Haller) and the ClamWin team
    • Date updated: November 20, 2006
    • System Requirements: Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/Vista
    • License: Free / Open Source (GPL)
    • Source Code: launcher source (included), ClamWin source
    • MD5 Hash (for the geeks): 7fb7cdda1fc772eedd3223edd950c340

Do flash drives r connected to computers always to have a realtime protection,eh?
and still even u have a 2GB.Not much can put into it.So its pretty easy to scan the files before/after u copy..
