You've misunderstood what I said before. I said 3GB is not a good value if someone's buying a PC right from the scratch. I had made the mistake of buying 512x2 initially. It didn't let me go for 4GB.

You are still schooling. When I was in grade 11, I had a Pentium 166MHz and even the Pentium4 was released!!!
