He is charging 6 - 8% of total value of the project. That means if you are going to build a house which costs 10 million, his fee will be around Rs 600000 - 800000. But this is for a comprehensive service which include architectural consultations, engineering consultations, quantity surveying throughout the process of designing and construction process (also inclusive of landscaping, selecting furniture etc), not just for the drawing of plan. Even before buying land you can get his service for land inspection (Rs 7000 per appointment). He is not undertaking constructions but will certainly help to find a reliable contractor for that. He specializes in modern & ultramodern type designs (specially cube type designs) for smaller lands in urban areas. He does all these in a real professional manner as my friend described. Many high profile people including professionals, sportsmen have sought his service.I know that many of you will consider that this is 'too much'.I don't blame you as I know how hard a majority of people are living these days. But considering the quality of service he provides I think this charges are justifiable. Although we may not like, all must know that you get what you pay for. So if you are willing to spend adequately (at least around 7 - 8 millions, better to be 10 millions+) then you won't be dissatisfied by going for him or another charted architect of the same caliber. Otherwise there are enough low cost options available in the country. But please don't expect the same quality.</blockquote>
