Arjuna Ranatunga has reportedly rejected a cabinet ministerial position offered to him by President Mahinda Rajapaksa after the dissolution of Sri Lanka Cricket interim committee, which he had headed.
Mr. Ranatunga has said that he had no need of positions other than the post of sports minister or at Sri Lanka Cricket, adding that he had entered politics only with the intention of developing sports, reports said.
He is now planning to hold a media briefing on December 29th to expose persons he describes as those behind the broadcasting rights deal between Sri Lanka Cricket and Taj TV as well as corrupt officials at SLC
