Mahimal Munasinghe, formerly of NFF, who was elected to the Uva PC from UPFA but joined Common Presidential Candidate Gen. Sarath Fonseka at the rally held at Badulla on the 28th December, has been abducted by a group of President’s Security Division (PSD) today.  Abducted Capt. Mahimal Munasinghe had been taken to Temple Trees and had been threatened and forced him to make a statement supporting President Mahinda Rajapakse at the election and denouncing Gen. Fonseka.   The NFF Leader Wimal Weerawansa had interfered and had forced Capt. Munasinghe to make a special announcement denouncing Gen. Fonseka.   However, further reports say Capt. Munasinghe has so far not made any response for the request. පසුගිය දෙසැම්බර් 28 දා බදුල්ලේ පැවැති ජෙනරාල් සරත් ෆොන්සේකා මහතාගේ රැලියට පැමිණ ජෙනරාල්වරයාට සහය දැක්වීම සඳහා එක්වූ ජාතික නිදහස් පෙරමුණෙන් ඌව පළාත් සභාවට තේරී පත්වූ පළාත් සභා මන්ත්‍රී කපිතාන් මිහිමල් මුණසිංහ මහතාව අද ජනාධිපති ආරක්ෂක අංශයෙන් පැමිණ පැහැර ගෙන ගොස් ඇත.  පැහැර ගරනීමට ලක් වූ කපිතාන් මිහිමල් මුණසිංහ මහතා අරලියගහ මන්දිරයට රැගෙන ගොස් ඇති අතර, එහිද ඔහු‍ට තර්ජනය කර නැවත වරක් වත්මන් ජනාධිපතිවරයාට මෙවර ජනාධිපතිවරණයේදී සහය දක්වන ලෙස බලපෑම් කර ඇත. මේ වෙනුවෙන් ජාතික නිදහස් පෙරමුණේ මන්ත්‍රී වීමල් වීරවංශ මැදිහත් වී ඇති අතර, ඉදිරියේදී විශේෂ ප්‍රකාශයක් කරමින් තමන් ජෙනරාල්වරයාට සහය නොදක්වන බවත්, ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතාට සහය දක්වන බවත් බවසන ලෙසට ඔහු විසින් බලපෑම් කර ඇත.  කෙසේ වෙතත් මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් මෙතෙක් කපිතාන් මිහිමල් මුණසිංහ මහතා කිසිදු ප්‍රතිචාරයක් නොදක්වා ඇති බව වැඩිදුරටත් වාර්තා වේ.<a href="http://www.lankatruth.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4217:nff-pc-member-abducted-for-announcing-his-support-for-general&catid=35:local&Itemid=50" target="_blank"></a><a href="http://www.lankatruth.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4217:nff-pc-member-abducted-for-announcing-his-support-for-general&catid=35:local&Itemid=50" target="_blank">LT</a></blockquote>
