All army security of the Mayor of Batticaloa, Sivageetha Prabhakaran has been withdrwan with immeidate effect after she annouced her decision to support Common Presidential candidate Gen (retd) Sarath Fonseka.
Ms Prabhakaran told Timesonline she had been detailed with 25 army personnnel including female soldiers, but all of them have been withdrawan after she arrived in Colombo.
She said her security in the house too has been withdrawan and only two police constables have been left behind.
Ms Prabhakaran addressed a joint press conference today announcing her decision to support Gen Fonseka.
