Arrest Fowzie's Son Says Court

Western Provincial Councilor of the ruling alliance Nauzer Fowzie, the son of Sri Lanka's senior Minister A.H.M. Fowzie, is to be arrested by police for threatening a man at gunpoint.

The junior Fowzie is accused of threatening to death a cyclist at Torrington Square, Colombo 7, following a near accident.

The cyclist, businessman, Mustaq Sally has lodged a complaint in Cinnamon Gardens police station.

The Colombo Magistrate's Court has ordered the police to apprehend the Western Provincial Councilor.

Colombo Crime Division informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate that the Provincial Councilor, his fire arm and the vehicle would be taken into custody for investigations.
