That's a big misunderstanding. Once you become a PR holder, you can visit a range of countries getting on arrival visa at those destinations. If you become a citizen in Australia, then you will have a broad range of chances and as far as I know Australian citizens can have access to almost 160 countries on arrival visa.But with a student visa you can't do a lot of things except visiting countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand in transit and even NZ would be possible with some conditions.But travelling is one thing and settling in a country is another thing. You can NEVER settle in other countries with an Australian student visa unless a PR holder or citizen but even with that status , conditions may apply.Staying on a temporary visa as a student will not allow you apply for another visa in another country, If so, everyone will do that to visit the places they want and settle</blockquote>
