Racism is present even in the Animal world. The movie Monkey Kingdom (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3660770/?ref_=ttpl_pl_tt) which was about a clan of Monkeys in Polonnaruwa shows this clearly. Civilisation changes these attitudes, humans learn to be more tolerant towards foreigners. This is not an easy task, nobody likes another person invading their home. In more developed countries they have passed strict laws to combat discrimination. I am sure if this incident happened in Sri Lanka nobody will even notice it. Because the majority of people in Australia are against racism this kind of incident is highlighted in the media. People need to look at themselves first before pointing the finger at others. While typing this reply I had to go to church and was surprised to read the bulletin which was very apt for this thread. I will post a copy here.
