patriotic as in.....putting makeup on the lies and deception....

that's just human to love patriotic stuff..that's exactly why saving private ryan won and got all the praise overshadowing the very great "thin red line" which showed the horrors of war.

exactly dude...that is why i feel its quite biased.....

granted there were not that many good movies to pick from....still...i can't shake the feeling that movie's victory is tainted....

heck even fox news was there drumming that movie up every night till the Oscars....
