AVC (H.264) / HEVC (H.265) / AV1 - Which one do you prefer when downloading Movies/TV Shows?

The advancements in video codecs enabled us to build collections of low-size but great-quality videos over the years. Going from the likes of aXXo (XviD.avi) to PSA (x265.mkv) was a fun adventure. I, for one, always give priority to 10bit x265 these days. But recently, I came across a new codec called AV1. The reviews are good; several encoders are leaning towards this new AV1 codec. Better quality and lower-size files are always a good thing.

Has anyone else tested videos with this new AV1 codec? How is the quality compared to the others?
