Use two simple names, one Sinhalese and one that could be used anywhere. That's what I did for my son. I dropped everything else though my mother didn't really like it. So now he has a first name, middlename and the surname. Simple. We never know where they will eventually end up. Wherever they are, they could use the convenient one that suits the locality.

exactly. I named my kiddo with one english name and one sinhala/tamil name. very easy to read.

සරල කෙටි නමක් දාන්න.
1st name - Sinhala - මේකට ඕන රෙද්දක් දාගන්න. දිව උලුක් නෙවෙයි ගැලවිල වැටෙන්න හරි.
2nd name - English - මේක සරලව කියන්න පුලුවන් ටිකක් posh නමක් දාන්න.

වෙන රටකට හරි ගියාම නම කියනවන එකාට දිව උලුක් වෙන්නෙ නැතුව 2nd name එකෙන් හරි කියන්න පුලුවන් නමක් වෙන්නෝනෙ.
