TBH BIT is much easier than BCS. I've seen the papers and what they've asked. And compared to BCS it's very easy. This is only concerning the IT related stuff. I dare not touch the maths parts as I dislike going that path.

I just went through the BIT course content and I can say BCS has almost 80% of the content posted in the curriculum.

@OP:
If you are thinking on taking BCS, just remember this, BCS by itself is not enough. To get the edge over the others doing BSc. you need to do other qualifications as well. For ex. if your aim is to be a software engineer, while doing BCS with the correct subjects, work on Java/C# skills and do the certification exams. So this way when you finish BCS you'll have multiple qualifications.

AFAIK yes. you will not be scrutinized for doing BCS. infact you don't even need the project to get recognised. I know a couple stories where several of my firends who did BCS but haven't done the project got selected whereas several others who did normal BSc's were dropped because they've haven't finished their project.

BCS PGD + PGD Project = BSc Hons.
BCS PGD = BSc.

I don't get anything bro, hence I'm asking it.

If you're implying (a far fetched guess since you didn't explain) that professional qualifications need not to study hard as academic qualifications then you're wrong.

There are plenty of people who fail in BCS. Specially the certificate level. there's a high failure rate because people think it's easy. there are loads of things to study. I hated some modules as there were lots of stuff to study and write.

It's the same with other qualification as well, Microsoft, Cisco, Java. I have spent a lot time on these areas studying and it's tough. Specially Cisco, the course is tougher than my MSc. If all the students in my course attempted the CCNA exam I am sure 75-80% will fail it. But they'll get their MSc.

I think I said 'what good is studying', cos at some point, doing it, trying to gather qualification to go up some ladder that take you personally nowhere is just pointless.

BCS is a well recognized qualification here in UK and Sri Lanka as well. As per one of the earliest replies by one of out elakiri member it can be completed in less than 3 years and you can apply for a masters.

I took 3 years(2002-2005) to complete as I was studying for another degree. Please complete the final project too and try to obtain the membership as well(MBCS)
