    Where I'm now
Please NO AL ones. They have 0% scores in 16x and 12x which I have tested. For 8.5GB DVS cost efficient will be Banana ones each 100Rs.

When buying 4.7 single layer DVDs use some brand like TDK or Verbatim these may cost a bit more (from 50-60) but they last a long time.Dont use AL blanks no matter how cheap they are.You will be able to buy Imation blanks for cheap but there is no guarantee that they will last long.Dont bother buying dual layer DVDs if you are copying a DVD video disk it is much more cheaper to compess it and burn it to a single layer disk using some sort of a cloning program

    That was in the past. :D I ripped a copy protected 8.5GB DVD into a 4.7 one in 19 mins using a stock E6550 and 2GB DDR2 667 5-5-5-15 stock.ASUS DRW 1640L AFAIK was the writer.:D

Buy a Japanese brand like Mitsubishi Chemical or Verbatim (available in SL, and they are both the same company) or Taiyo Yuden (not available in SL as far as I know). They will serve you well...and you will not need to look at another brand EVER AGAIN! Taiyo Yuden discs are so amazing and they can give 99% quality score on even the crappiest drives.

Mitsubishi Chemical and Verbatim discs can be bought for around Rs.55-60 at Unity (I think you will have to buy 10 discs at least)
