Best Places to spend holiday in Sri Lanka

Please let me know some good locations to spend the holiday in SL. I will be visiting sri lanka on September for 2 weeks.

Let me know some good places where I can go with my family.

1) How about chaaya hotels? (Hikkaduwa/Trinco) Or any other better options
2) Good places to stay in N'Eliya
3)Any other good locations

If you are willing to spend more than 2 nights in Kandy, I've a good hotel for you, in Hantana. (Not mine but it's giving a great service for minimum cost)
