Well it depends..The 7600 is faster so it will give you more FPS in a game....The 8500GT is slightly slower but has Direct X10 over Direct X9c on the 7600....Also the 8500GT has hardware accalaration for HD content and all...

Lastly quality wise the 8500, performance wise the 7600(slightly faster)

Then go for the 7600GS it has onboard 512MB memory and caches from the ram as well..and of course better clocks....So ull see memory more than 1GB but it is really not memory.

I myself have a 8500GT and quite happy with it! Im not a heavy gamer but i do watch quite a lot of movies,Although i don't see any quality gain, i see a reduced CPU utilization when watching a movie.

Gaming only get the 7600GS....If you want overall aspects get the 8500GT!

4 games i think 8500 is better coz it supports dx10.also shader 4.0.
i had used 8500 & played frontline fuel of war in good quality.
8500GT having DX 10 will only give you a better picture and special effects etc.....It wont improve FPS. Most people want to play the game smoothly,so the 7600 prevails.

    mmmmm

    this info will be enough

thanks all guys who replyed and viwed this thread,

now i have a idea about what should i buy.

Well I have to say this. This really depends on da brand machan. If u go for brand like asus or msi, u will have to pay more. I think Asus geforce 8400 is arround Rs.10000 & 8500 is arround Rs.15000. But u will get 3 years warranty. But if u go for a brand like labtec it will only cost u arround Rs.8500 for a geforce 8500:P. But u will get only 1year warranty. & try to buy VGA wihtout a cooling fan. Coz VGA coolers gets little noisy after sometime. Asus silent series is good. N go for geforce 8 series if u can. Coz geforce 8 supports shader model 4 & geforce 7 supports only shader 3. Now a days games only requires shader 3. But upcoming games will be required shader 4.:P N don't buy VGAs that comes with turbocashing.
