Well what do you know, Carmen Electra does yoga. Who would have thought? Well, actually, I guess probably everyone would have thought, since female celebrities are now required by law to be photographed by paparazzi doing yoga. Anyway, here we have Carmen doing the rather advanced hanuman posture and looking ridiculously hot.

Here’s yet another pose the name of which I just couldn’t seem to find anywhere on the world wide interwebs. It looks like a variation of warrior I, though, with the primary differences being that the back knee is touching the ground and the arms are tilted and pointing back. But none of that is important. What is important is that we get to watch the afore-mentioned Brittany Trubridge do another awesome yoga pose.

Adho Mukha Svanasana (aka Downward-Facing Dog Pose)
Everybody knows the downward dog, right? It’s another one of the easiest yoga poses out there, and it’s got an awesome name. But I don’t really think it’s well-known because it’s so easy, or because it’s got an awesome name. No, I think it’s familiarity has something to do with the mechanics of the pose. That’s just my hunch, though.

As far as I can tell, what we have here is a variation of a position called the boat pose. If anyone knows otherwise, please let us know in the comments section so we’re all set straight. Now, as for the woman pictured here, her name is Brittany Trubridge. She is quite possibly the hottest legit yoga instructor on earth, so she will be making several more appearances on this list.

This is called the camel pose. Doesn’t look like a camel to me, but whatever. In any case, if I had to guess, I would say this pose was probably designed with women like this in mind.

For the life of me I could not find the name of this yoga position. Maybe it’s not even a proper yoga position at all. But who cares? Whatever it is, it’s pretty awesome

This pose didn’t appear on any official yoga positions chart I found, but a little googling revealed that it is known as “the prayer twist.” I realize the name doesn’t really matter all that much, but I just wanted to clarify that I didn’t make it up myself. In any case, while I do recommend wearing hot silvery sports bras while doing yoga, I do not recommend doing yoga in the middle of the desert. Just seems unsafe, what with all the UV rays, scorpions, and lack of nearby civilization.

Of course, she’s doing perhaps the easiest post there is—it’s called the “easy pose” after all—so apparently Shilpa is no yoga master. Still, she looks pretty fantastic in her tight red outfit, and I think that was probably the point of this photograph to begin with.
