Having spoken to various Samsung employees (PR, media and engineers) - they are aware of the issues you have presented and are working on a new revision. This is a wider problem with DisplayPort so it isn't necessarily something Samsung themselves will be able to fix. There are some other issues including panel faults which will also be ironed out (apparently) by moving to a new production line for the new revision.
