Muthuhettigama said that when he had inquired about the preferential votes, the Returning Officer had reprimanded him claiming that he was only carrying out orders received from the top.“I will do everything possible to put those responsible behind bars and to obtain compensation,” he said.He also pointed out that his brain was fine. “I am the only politician in the world who had to go through a medical test on court orders to prove that I am mentally fit. I hope to contact human rights organisations in Geneva and other countries with that medical certificate. I will take measures against those who insulted me. I hope to lodge a complaint against the theft of preferential votes that were cast for me,” said Muthuhettigama.Meanwhile, the Galle District Returning Officer, Ashoka Jayasekera has lodged a complaint with the Galle police stating that Nishantha Muthuhettigama had threatened him.He said that Mr. Muthuhettigama had threatened him saying that the preferential votes had not been counted properly. </blockquote>
