Personally I believe this was the biggest mistake our sinhala people did in the history. (Tamil people also should get an equal stake of it though.)
But as 'good' sinhalese people, our older generation should have acted more intelligently.

This black July is the event which created an immense amount of hatred in Tamil people's hearts about Singhalese people. Otherewise there might be no war today.

But Tamils now know who real Sinhalese people are.

And many Tamils now know they have been betrayed by Prabhakaran, but they don't have a way to survive from it...

I am 20 years old man but i stayed in Colombo for 12 years.but i was humiliated by most of the Sinhalese people i met only bcoz of i am Tamil.in school road every where
i was arrested twice and i had experience the torture of srilankan army.if u been to that nasty torture u will feel as hell man.i am just a Innocent Tamil who like to live with peace and with nice work in my country but i am not a citizen of srilanka any more and ever never i wont come to srilanka until i die

for sure war is not a solution but i am living in a another country as a refugee even though i have my country and my relatives in srilanka who want to live in another country when i am having a paradise man

but for me no choice i don't want to get torture in srilanka verbally and physically even here i am getting abused because of i am Tamil.that's y i ever never come back to srilanka in my life
