The 6 year old child who was assaulted by a lady on the 4th of May died while receiving treatment yesterday around 8 pm, police said.
The child was assaulted by a stone in the Kithalawatta Tamil school ground and was admitted to the Badulla hospital around 6.40 am.
The child has been identified as Sivakumar Manoj. The suspect was produced before the Bandarawela magistrate on the 4th of May and was ordered be held in remand custody till the 18th of May.
