An inspector of schools went to an Indian class and asked a student "You all have learnt the Ramayanaya. Tell me, who broke Shiva's bow?" The student was silent for a moment. Finally he said, "I don't know sir, but It wasn't me. Believe me sir!"
The Inspector turned to the teacher and scolded her for not doing a proper job. The teacher said, "Don't worry sir, I will find out who broke it and let you know."
In disgust, the inspector called the school principal and told him the whole story. The principal was apologetic, "Boys will be boys sir. Please forget the matter! I will make sure that no bows are broken in the future."
