The brothers in arms
As we sleep in our homes, safe and sound with no sound of the war or the fear of terror, the brave soldiers are in the battle field fighting to keep us safe, keep the country safe, to keep the peace alive. Now as I’m writing, in this room, peacefully they are fighting for it. We are all in this peaceful environment because they put their lives to protect us. Their bravery, courage and the sacrifice they make is something we cannot compare to anything else.
As they leave who they loved, and march towards a place where the death and terror rules, they march with pride and bravery with determination. The only thing in their mind is how to defeat the enemy of our country. They leave behind everything to fight for the country, to fight for the family, to fight for the peace. For those heroes the time doesn’t matter, the whether doesn’t matter, personal desires doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is the most is saving the country, the motherland, the place where they belong.
As our guardian angels of our country march towards the battle field they make a great sacrifice. They sacrifice their feelings, they sacrifice their own desires, most of all they sacrifice their lives to protect our country.
When you take hours to write letters to the one we love they get only few minutes in months. When you spend a lot of time trying to finish a meal and when you couldn’t finish it you think, why did I even start to eat it, they get a few minutes to eat, sometimes they don’t get the time. When you walk for a little while and you think you are tired, they walk all day without any rest. Just to protect you, your country, the peace you enjoy.
Once as president John F. Kennedy said “A young man who doesn’t have what it takes to perform military service is not likely to have what it takes to make living.” Being a soldier is the most honored medal one person can wear. Being a soldier is the best way to help back your country. Being a soldier is the best way to be proud for your self. So I salute to all the brothers in arms in the battle field protecting us like a great wall of china, like the guardian angels of our country.
