You can't repair electric vehicles like ICE powered vehicles. So back yard repair shops not going to work. Battery capacity, safety as well as longevity improved and price significantly reduced in last few years. I expect same to happen and spare batteries will be cheaper than current prices in few years. Also we need to build infrastructure for recharge. Government can work with private investors and build charging station network.</blockquote>
