I think his stance is correct. Those are disposable cars that have a usable lifetime of 5 years. After that, those should be sent to recycling facilities. But here in Sri Lanka, vehicles are consider as an asset. So think about that. you are paying 4.5 million for a car that literally become a junk after 5 years. And those prospective buyers are the lowest earners who wish to own a vehicle. Do you really want to see those people getting into massive trouble?

If you buy BYD 1 it has only 300KM and over the years it is going to have the battery loose it ability to retain its charge. So may be after 5 years it cannot even go 100 KM without charging.
Now think about a petrol vehicle, we use that shit for 100 years and still will run as long as you pump gas.

I think our idiots are walking in to a huge trap buying something that has a very high depreciation.
