Not Kilo Byte per second. <img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/21o2c9i.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />In IDM the transfer rate in KBps. we usually get 55-60 KBps speed in IDM.<img src="http://i41.tinypic.com/svqtzc.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />Then how we calculate the download time  ?Example 1 : Lets take 729 KB filefirst we have to convert this to bits8 x 729 x 1024 = 5971968 bitsthen we have to convert it to Kilo bits (Kb) To do it we must divide this by 1000 then we have the results.( Just like gram to Kilo gram) 5971.968 KbAfter that we have to divide it by our connection speed ( i'll take 512 Kbps connection) then it gives us the time (in seconds) we need to download the 729 KB file)its approximately 11.5 seconds.haha isnt this correct <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/lol.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":lol:" title="LOL    :lol:" data-shortname=":lol:" />Lets take another example to confirm this. hmm 100 MB file k here we go8 x 100 x 1024 x 1024 = 838860800 bits1024 Kilo Bytes = 1 Mega Byte then838860.800 Kilo bitsby dividing the connection speed it gives1638.4 seconds. lets divide this by 60 to get this in minutes ( coz there is 60 seconds for a minute <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/nerd.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":nerd:" title="Nerd    :nerd:" data-shortname=":nerd:" /><img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/lol.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":lol:" title="LOL    :lol:" data-shortname=":lol:" />)approximately 27.30 Minutes <img src="http://www.elakiri.com/forum/images/icons/sq/8.gif" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /> correct ne huh <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/rofl.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":rofl:" title="ROFL    :rofl:" data-shortname=":rofl:" />[code]8 bits = 1 Byte1 Kilo Byte = 1024 Bytes1024 Kilo Bytes = 1 Mega Byte [/code] PSDownload times are theoretical and depend on cable connection, computer processor speed and other overheads.May b sme guys already know this . i posted this coz i think there are sme guys who dont knw this <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/default/P.gif"  class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":P" title=":P    :P" data-shortname=":P" /></blockquote>
