Yes this is the biggest difference in Canada in comparison to Sri Lanka. Canadian prime minister did not try to buy opposition MPs. If this were in Sri Lanka this would have been a treasury for Opposition MPs who can cross over and vote for big money.
But this defeat will not have any major impact on Canadian people. People in Canada do not bother much about politics and each province has its own government as well.
