Then the immune system knows how to fight and kill the growing virus isn't it?




So why still they need to be vaccinated ?

I am no biologist, but here where I live we have to get vaccinate for flu every year.. covid is like that I guess, for new varieties, u need to get vaccinated, even though u had recovered from it.

In brief when you are infected and gets cured the resulting antibody levels vary with the severity of the illness. There are micro-structures called "Germinal Centres" that are responsible for producing long term antibodies and B cells. Serious covid infections cause the destruction of these and hence long term antibody titers cannot be guaranteed. This is only a superficial explanation on how this works.
