The Ceylon Electricity Board is going on strike from today (3rd July) midnight to tomorrow mid night, the Committee Member of the CEB Joint Trade Union Alliance Ranjan Jayalal told Ceylon Today Online.
He further stated that the strike is held due to the salary disparities, and if the government doesn’t pay attention the CEB will hold a meeting on Friday and discuss about further trade union actions.
He also added that power failures could happen in the time of the strike.
