This is not posible over GSM network..... and they have not designed their equipments to do this.

yah u r correct,but there are ways to attack the GSM network and eavesdrop on a call. like brute force,divide n conquer attack in A5,also crackin the A8 algorithm

ther are divices for these but will cost a fortune,(nearly 30lahks)

They cannot evesdrop by connecting from a remote location,
But they (Usually high ranked staff people) Can do it coz they have access to the databases and strems.

That's how telephone tapping does. When Police,Government Or FBI requests all calls to be recorded, they do it like that.

it can be done,by a third party,if u can find the key of the service module you can listen to calls,I'm not sure the ratio about how it will be successful.but there are ways to do that
