Deepest condolence. You acted as a tower of strength to your party and all workers under your trade union. You took a very wise decision recently to support MR who will be the next term President in this country and your people had immense benifits under his regime. Succeedors are expected to continue with his vision for the benifit of their community without falling pray to military type presidential aspires who has already mentioned in his publi sppeches of a military govt.

Last year it was MP Maheswaren, this year Minister Chandrasekaran, what a coincidence to die in the begining of new year.

Sad news to start the New year for the general public. But an investigation should be there about the quality of health service he recieved, as he was to support SF.

Minister Chandrasekeran commenting on his party's decision on extending its support to President Mahinda Rajapaksa told the Sunday Observer that the decision was taken after several rounds of talks they held with President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his senior advisor and Parliamentarian Basil Rajapaksa on the key issues of upcountry people and the minorities of the country. "We were satisfied with the issues that we tabled during the discussions. The creation of new housing schemes for the plantation community, their educational and job opportunities and also the issue of releasing Tamil detainees who were in prisons for a long period without any trial were some of the important issues that were brought to the notice of the President.

The outcome was very positive and therefore the UPF decided to extend its support to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the forthcoming Presidential poll," Minister Chandrasekeran said.
