thanx machangsla for all the info.. my bro is doin A/L this time so just wanna check the prices before asking him to apply for a course. btw CIMA has a wider scope than CIM also the fees are way more high than CIM, CIM probably u can complete the 3 stages for less than 300k, just go through all the vacancies in topjobs.. ull c for each n every advert there is a part of CIM or CIMA as a requirement.. all the local business degrees are now losing its sheen without a supporting professional qualification as cim or cima.

also the cost of education is rising every year.. evey day..I did the Colombo MBA last year & it cost abt 415K, but i heard frm next year its gonna be aby 700K, sad scene but thats the bitter truth.

well my advice to all my friends here is... dnt go after pointless unfamous diplomas..Hnd's n all... if u do not have a degree just try to get a professional qualification as CIM or CIMA, then work somewhere for few years & go for a Masters or CFA.. every field has a business aspect in it, there were Medical doctors who did the MBA, so thats the current market's requrement.. make urself an asset for the market's demand & there will be a world of opperunities..

Yes bro I agree with you, now there's a risk even loosing the demand for CIMA also due to it's high supply. But if it's able to complete CFA definitely will be in safe hands! According to my knowledge yet less than 100 people SriLanka has CFA qualification!

yeah machan.. CFA is probably the most recognized qualification here but believe.. doing it kills u.. its one of the hardest, i knw few ppl at CBSL they dint go for a MBA but CFA & they have a better demand than a masters holder.. but ultimately wat matters is wat u have the passion in.. if its is marketing in u, there no point going cor cima or cfa & vice versa.
