This was decided collectively by theCIMA Council, the Institute's governing body, after considering therecommendation of an independent review.A consultative body of at least three members in Sri Lanka is to beappointed by the President and other Honorary Officers of CIMA toadvise on the affairs of the Sri Lanka Division during the suspensionperiod.CIMA's commitment to its Division in Sri Lanka remains as strong asever. However the well-established success of CIMA in Sri Lanka hasbeen put at risk due to some failures of governance within the SriLanka Divisional Council and by a lack of adherence to CIMA's globalstrategic goals and rules.Business will continue as usual and there will be no impact on theservice that our stakeholders receive. Members, students and employerswill be unaffected by this decision.
